Sports Analytics

Machine vision systems are increasingly utilized in sports analytics to provide valuable insights into athlete performance, tactics, and strategy. These systems leverage high-speed cameras and sophisticated image processing algorithms to capture and analyze real-time video footage of sports events. By tracking the movement of players, balls, and other objects on the field or court, machine vision systems can quantify various aspects of athletic performance, such as speed, acceleration, trajectory, and player positioning. Additionally, these systems enable advanced motion analysis, allowing coaches and analysts to identify patterns, trends, and key performance indicators that contribute to team success. Machine vision systems play a crucial role in enhancing coaching strategies, player development, and game planning by providing objective data and actionable insights derived from visual observations. Moreover, with the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, these systems can recognize and classify complex actions or events in real-time, further enhancing the depth and accuracy of sports analytics. Overall, machine vision systems are transforming the landscape of sports analytics, empowering teams, coaches, and athletes to make data-driven decisions and gain a competitive edge in their respective sports.

Motion Analysis

Vision Systems Technology offers high speed and ultra-high resolution industrial cameras suitable for capturing images for detecting and analyzing motion. Our cameras are used in the areas of human motion analysis (medicine, sports, video surveillance, physical therapy, kinesiology). Our cameras are also used in manufacturing. Using our high speed and ultra-high resolution cameras, assemply lines and production machines can be monitored and used to detect inefficiencies or malfunctions. Our cameras use CMOSIS, OnSemiconductor and Sony Pregius CMOS Imaging Sensors with resolutions from 2MP to 25MP and frame rates from 30 to 340 FPS.
