VIEWORKS PLATINUM AWARD WINNING PIXEL SHIFT TECHNOLOGY

VISION SYSTEMS DESIGN 2015 INNOVATION AWARD PLATINUM LEVEL

During 2014, Vision Systems Design (VSD) begin an annual selection of the best of the best new Machine Vision Products representing ground breaking innovation.  Each year, the Innovators Awards program has a panel of ten third party judges who rate the products entered by companies based on originality, applicability and market. There are four award levels from bronze to platinum.

In 2015, VSD announces Vieworks is among three companies picked for the top honor as the 2015 Innovators Awards Platinum level winner.  VSD noted:

Vieworks VN-25MX pixel-shifting camera. The VN-25 MX is a pixel-shifting area scan CoaXPress camera that can achieve 100 MP resolution by using a 2D nano-stage piezoelectric actuator. The camera captures multiple images by using the piezoelectric stage to micro-shift the image sensor in x and y directions and then combines those images to generate a 100 MP output image. Images at this resolution can be acquired at 18 fps.

Kris Balch, President of  Vision Systems Technology accepted the VSD Innovation Award in behalf of Vieworks (note- goto 20 minute point in the Youtube video presentation) at the 2015 Automate show.  During Automate, we demonstrated the VN-25MX camera to many attendees showing live images coomparing native resolution (25MP) side-by-side the 225MP pixel shift image.  Quite remarkable detail was easly seen in the 225MP image compared to the 25MP image.

Vieworks was also awarded including honorable mention for the 2015 Red Dot Design Award.  Today, there are a number of Pixel Shift cameras including the two newest models, VN-50MX and the VN-47MX cameras.\
